In-Home Caregiver Spotlight: Helena Russel

Today, we're celebrating a special in-home caregiver from Boise, Idaho, whose natural compassion and dedication to providing care give her clients and their families true peace of mind.

Helena Russel, a certified nursing assistant (CNA), works seven nights a week and takes great pride in helping others.

Laura Patnode, Helena’s supervisor at Caring Hearts of Boise, nominated Helena for an inaugural Exceptional Caregiver Award this year, commending her for her “incredible work ethic” and consistent dependability. Despite Helena’s full schedule, she never hesitates to work on holidays. Since care needs never take a holiday, a dedicated Caring Hearts caregiver like Helena offers clients and their family members true peace of mind. Her clients’ needs always come first.

“Helena is an outstanding caregiver because she puts her entire heart and soul into providing the best possible care,” Laura wrote. “Everyone who knows her would say that she is the ideal caregiver in many different ways.”

Helena is able to bond with her clients without ever crossing any professional boundaries. She is especially close with a client she has been caring for the past couple of years. Helena shows compassion on a daily basis with her and is able to be patient and kind while making all the necessary adjustments to care in accordance with the client’s declining health.
